As part of my training at Surge Academy, I gained foundational skills in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with a hands-on task involving optimizing a webpage through WordPress. The training covered essential on-page SEO techniques, including strategic keyword placement, writing compelling meta titles and descriptions, improving content structure and readability, and applying internal linking strategies to strengthen site navigation and relevance.
This experience helped me understand how search engines index content and how to optimize for better visibility and ranking. Through this practical activity, I developed a sharper eye for aligning content with user intent while enhancing technical and content-based SEO elements. It served as a valuable step in understanding how optimization efforts contribute to organic reach and overall site performance.
